Upper picture is of Fra-Mauro Map of the world,
Lower picture is of ptolemy's Map of world.
Fra mauro map has south on top whether ptolemy's map has north on top.
Great question man! 1)Fra Mauro's world map(which has the South at the top) and 2)Ptoelmy's World Map(which has the conventional North at the top).
the first has south pointed upwards and the second has north direction upwards.
